Jean-Sébastien Bernaert Lore Van Hees (1979) studied Art History at KU Leuven and has worked at the Vander Kelen-Mertens Municipal Museum – now Museum M – since 2003. As a research associate, she was co-responsible for drawing up and implementing new, contemporary art policy. She has coordinated and guided numerous projects with national and international artists at the museum and was (assistant) curator of a number of solo exhibitions by, among others, Christoph Fink (B), Allan Sekula (USA), Bernd Lohaus (B), Rui Chafes (P), Hans Op de Beeck (B), Jan Vercruysse (B), Philippe Van Snick (B), Robert Devriendt (B), Pedro Cabrita Reis (P), Dirk Braeckman (B), Patrick Van Caeckenbergh (B) and Sol LeWitt (USA). In 2009, she transferred to the new Museum M as the assistant curator of Eva Wittocx.
Lore Van Hees also shapes art policy in the whole region and contributes to extensive programmes, as well as collaborating on and writing a number of catalogues.
